In this blog, we’ll explore why some cattle yards rattle and how we’ve solved that within our Maxxus range.
“I’ve heard Steel Yards rattle like a bitch”
Not when they are MAXXUS Yards
As the owner of a lifestyle block or smaller yard, investing in yards, whether steel or timber, it’s a sizeable investment.
So we recommend doing your due diligence.
When it comes to steel yards, yes some brands do rattle.
Rattly yards produce unnecessary noise that wind cattle up and make basic cattle handling tasks a nuisance. Not to mention getting your cattle into the yards next time being that much harder!
We’ve solved this with quite a simple fix – our Anti-Rattle Connection Clamps.
It’s a simple and cost effective solution which so many of our clients rate highly.
Even Ben Mcilwrick (more commonly known at Ben The Fencer) who’s built plenty of timber yards in his time was amazed at how effective our anti-rattle clamps are.
He’s recently built a set of our MAXXUS yards for one of his clients in Rangiora, North Canterbury:
“Simon was bloody reluctant to put a set of steel yards in, mainly because of the reputation they have with being noisy. We were both blown away with how quiet and solid they were with the anti-rattle clamps, overhead bracing and ground spikes. It’s all makes a huge difference”
We’ll share more information about our Overhead Bracing later in the week.
